What to expect when Liva 7 starts learning

Once your setup is complete, Liva 7 enters a Learning Phase - a short period where the system begins collecting and analyzing shopper behavior to calibrate its personalization engine. During this time, performance metrics may appear limited or delayed, but this is a critical step in ensuring long-term accuracy and effectiveness.
What Is the learning phase?
The Learning Phase is when Liva 7:
- Begins ingesting real-time signals from your storefront
- Analyzes shopper behavior, product interactions, and conversion patterns
- Builds a baseline understanding of your catalog and customer journeys
- Calibrates recommendation strategies for your specific store
The Learning Phase is like a warm-up - it helps Liva 7 understand your store before delivering full personalization.
How long does it last?
- Typically 3 to 7 days after setup is completed
- Duration depends on your store’s traffic and signal volume
- Higher traffic stores may complete learning faster
- You’ll see a banner in the Home tab while learning is in progress
What you’ll see during learning
While Liva 7 is learning:
- Performance metrics (like revenue and engagement) may show placeholder messages
- Widgets will still display recommendations using fallback or similarity-based strategies
- The system is actively collecting data in the background
What happens after learning
Once the Learning Phase is complete:
- The banner disappears from the Home tab
- Real-time personalization is fully activated
- Metrics begin populating with live data
- Recommendation strategies become more dynamic and behavior-driven
Best practices during learning
- Ensure widgets are live on key pages to maximize signal collection
- Avoid making major changes to widget strategies during this time
- Monitor the Engine Status in the Targeting Rules tab
- Be patient - the more signals Liva 7 collects, the smarter it gets
