Page strategies

Tailor your personalization logic by page type

Overview

Not all pages serve the same purpose - and your recommendation strategy shouldn’t treat them as if they do. The Page Strategies section lets you assign a default algorithm to each major page type, ensuring that recommendations align with shopper intent and context.

These strategies act as global defaults for widgets placed on each page type, unless a widget is manually configured to use a different algorithm.

How It Works

Each page type has a dropdown menu where you can select a global recommendation strategy. These include:

  • Similar Products
  • Trending Products
  • Best Sellers
  • Recently Viewed
  • Hybrid (a blend of behavioral and similarity signals)

Global page strategies act as the default logic for widgets on that page type - but individual widgets can override them.
