How to complete your Liva 7 setup
Your 5-step path to real-time personalization
Overview
When you first install Liva 7, you’ll be guided through a 5-step onboarding flow. Completing this setup activates the personalization engine, syncs your store data, and places recommendation blocks across your storefront - so Liva 7 can begin learning and optimizing in real time.
Step 1: Welcome to Liva 7
Learn what Liva 7 does and how it helps your store
You’ll be introduced to Liva 7’s three core capabilities:
- Real-Time Personalization: Show the right products to the right shoppers
- Smart Bundles: AI-generated product combinations that increase AOV
- Adaptive Content: Targeted banners and offers based on behavior
Click Get Started to begin, or Skip Onboarding if you’ve already completed setup.
Step 2: Activate personalization
Turn on the engine and sync your store data
- Enable the Personalization Engine to activate real-time recommendations
- Verify Data Sync: Ensure the following are marked as 'Synced': Products, Collections, Customers, Orders, Events
Once everything is synced and the engine is active, click Continue.
Liva 7 needs synced data and an active engine to start learning and delivering personalized experiences.
Step 3: Add Liva 7 to your theme
Install personalization blocks on key pages
To display recommendations, you’ll need to place Liva 7 blocks in your theme:
- Click Open Theme Editor
- Add Liva 7 blocks to: Product Page, Cart Page, Homepage, Collection Page
- Click Save in your theme editor
- Return and click I’ve added the blocks
Block statuses will update to Active once detected.
Blocks are the visual containers for Liva 7’s recommendations. Without them, nothing will render on your storefront.
Step 4: Set your preferences
Optional settings to guide personalization behavior
Customize how Liva 7 behaves across your storefront:
- Excluded Products: Remove specific items from all personalization surfaces
- Excluded Collections: Prevent entire collections from appearing in recommendations
- Fallback Behavior: Define what to show when data is limited
- Display Locations: Choose where personalization appears (e.g. PDP, Cart, Homepage)
Click Finish Setup to proceed.
These preferences help you fine-tune how and where personalization appears - and what to exclude.
Step 5: Liva 7 Is active
You’re live - now let Liva 7 learn and optimize
Once setup is complete:
- Your storefront begins adapting in real time
- Liva 7 starts learning from shopper behavior

Click Go to Dashboard to begin monitoring performance.
Liva 7 starts collecting data and optimizing experiences as soon as setup is complete. The more traffic you get, the faster it learns.

Completing the 5-step setup unlocks the full power of Liva 7. From here, you can begin customizing your personalization strategy, launching new widgets, and tracking performance in real time.
