How to sync products and customers

Keep your personalization engine up to date

Overview

Liva 7 relies on accurate, real-time data to deliver relevant recommendations. The Data Health panel in the Targeting Rules section lets you monitor and manage the sync status of your key data sources - including products and customers.

Where to find it

  1. Go to the Targeting Rules tab
  2. Scroll to the Data Health section
  3. Review the sync status of:Products, Customers, Collections, Orders, Events

You’ll also see the Last Sync Timestamp and whether Event Tracking is active.

How to sync your data

You can sync data manually at any time using the buttons provided:

  • Sync All Data: Updates all data types at once
  • Sync Products: Refreshes your product catalog
  • Sync Customers: Updates customer profiles and segmentation

Click the appropriate button and wait for the sync status to update to Synced.

Manual sync ensures Liva 7 has the latest product and customer data - especially useful after catalog updates or imports.

What happens after syncing

Once synced:

  • Liva 7 uses the latest product data to power recommendations
  • Customer data is used for segmentation (e.g. VIP, New, Returning)
  • Event tracking continues to monitor shopper behavior in real time

If any data source is out of sync, Liva 7 may fall back to default logic or show fewer personalized results.

Troubleshooting tips

  • If sync fails, try refreshing the page and clicking Sync All Data again
  • Ensure your Shopify store is connected and permissions are intact
  • Contact support if sync remains incomplete after multiple attempts

Ensure up to date data

Keeping your product and customer data in sync is essential for accurate personalization. Use the Data Health panel regularly to ensure Liva 7 is working with the freshest, most complete data possible.
