Editing widget titles, styles, and messaging in Liva 7

Make your personalisation blocks feel like your brand

Overview

Liva 7 gives you full control over how your personalisation blocks look, sound, and feel. Whether you're aiming for a sleek, minimalist vibe or a bold, conversion-driven layout, you can customise widget titles, styles, and messaging to match your store's tone and visual identity - no coding required.

Customising widget titles

Each Liva 7 block comes with a default title (like 'You Might Also Like' or 'Recently Viewed'), but you can change this to better reflect your brand voice or campaign goals.

  • Where to edit - In the Liva 7 dashboard, go to the Personalization tab, click on a block, and look for the Title field.
  • What you can do: Replace the default title with your own (e.g. 'Top Picks for You', 'Your Style, Your Way'), Use emojis or brand language to add personality, Leave the title blank if you want a cleaner, no-heading look

A clear, engaging title can increase click-through rates by setting context and drawing attention to the block.

Styling your blocks

Liva 7 blocks are designed to inherit your Shopify theme's styles by default - but you can override them for more control.

  • Visual options: Adjust font size, weight, and alignment, set padding, margins, and spacing between products, Choose how many products to show per row or per block, toggle borders, shadows, or background colors
  • Where to edit - In the block editor, use the Design tab to access layout and style settings.
  • Advanced styling - For full control, you can add custom CSS in your Shopify theme or use Liva 7's advanced style overrides.

Use consistent styling across blocks to maintain a cohesive look - or vary styles by page to match the shopper's mindset (e.g. bold on homepage, minimal in cart).

Personalizing block messaging

Beyond titles, you can customize the messaging that appears within or around blocks to guide shoppers and reinforce your brand.

  • Examples: Add a subheading like 'Handpicked just for you' under the title, include urgency cues like 'Going fast!' or 'Only a few left', use dynamic text to reference the shopper's behavior (e.g. 'Because you viewed...')
  • Where to edit - In the block settings, look for Messaging or Text sections. Some blocks support dynamic variables for personalization.

Personalized messaging can boost engagement by making shoppers feel seen - even a small tweak like 'Your picks' instead of 'Recommended for you' can make a difference.

Real-world examples

  • Luxury brand - Replaces 'Trending Now' with 'Our Curated Favorites' and uses serif fonts and generous spacing to match their high-end aesthetic.
  • Streetwear store - Adds bold, emoji-filled titles like '🔥 Just Dropped' and uses dark backgrounds with neon accents to match their brand.
  • Home goods shop - Uses soft colors and friendly copy like 'You might love these' to create a warm, welcoming feel.

Merchants who align block styling with their brand often see higher engagement and lower bounce rates - because the experience feels seamless and intentional.
