Liva 7 is built for Shopify merchants who want more than just a good-looking store. It’s for those who care about relevance, performance, and control. Whether you're just starting out or scaling fast, Liva 7 gives you the tools to deliver a storefront that adapts to every visitor - instantly and intelligently.
In just a few guided steps, you’ll activate real-time personalisation, place your first AI-powered blocks, and get your store ready to deliver the results you’re here for - more relevance, more engagement, and more revenue. You don’t need to be technical. We’ve already done the heavy lifting so you can stay focused on your business.
When you open the app, look for the gold strip at the top of the homepage and click here to begin set up. From there, we’ll walk you through everything - clearly, quickly, and with your goals in mind.
Welcome to Liva 7
The onboarding flow begins with a quick introduction to what Liva 7 does and how it helps your store grow.
You’ll see a short overview of our three core features:
• Real-Time Personalisation - show the right products to the right shopper, instantly.
• Smart Bundles - AI-generated combinations that increase average order value.
• Smart Content - Targeted banners and offers based on real-time behaviour.
Click Get Started to begin setup.
Or, if you prefer to explore manually, you can choose Skip onboarding - but we recommend completing the flow for the fastest results.
The onboarding flow is designed to be fast, visual, and non-technical - no coding required.
Activate the Personalisation Engine
This step turns on the engine that powers all of Liva 7’s intelligence.
Use the Personalisation Toggle to activate or pause real-time recommendations.
• On: Your store will begin adapting to each visitor.
• Off: Personalisation is paused - no changes will appear on your storefront.
Check the Data Sync Status to confirm your store is connected.
• Liva 7 syncs your products, collections, customers, orders, and events.
• You’ll see real-time labels like Synced, Syncing, or Not Connected.
Add Liva 7 blocks to your theme
Adding Liva 7 blocks to your theme is the most important step in your setup. This is how you tell Liva 7 where personalised content should appear across your storefront.
Liva 7 delivers AI powered experiences through theme blocks that you place inside your Shopify theme. These blocks act as content holders.
The Product Recs Block is the only block that populates automatically. All other blocks will remain empty until you create content for them inside the app. If you want the quickest possible setup, add the Product Recs Block to your key pages to start showing AI recommendations immediately.
We have already done the heavy lifting
To make setup simple, Liva 7 includes a full set of prebuilt blocks for every major page type, including the homepage, product pages, collection pages, cart and search results. There is nothing to build from scratch. Choose the blocks you want, place them where they make sense for your store, and Liva 7 handles the rest.
What you will see in the theme editor
When you click Open theme editor from the onboarding screen:
- Navigate to the page you want to personalise, for example the homepage.
- Click Add section.
- Select the Apps tab, not the default Sections tab.
- You will see a list of Liva 7 blocks available for that page.
- Choose a block, position it where you want it to appear, and click Save.
Homepage block options
When you open the homepage, you will see four Liva 7 blocks available:
- Product Recs Block
AI powered product recommendations based on each visitor’s behaviour and intent. This block populates automatically and is the fastest way to start showing personalised content. - Bundle Block
Smart product bundles that increase average order value by pairing complementary items. - Smart Content Block
A dynamic banner or message that adapts based on the visitor’s behaviour or segment. Ideal for promotions, announcements or seasonal content. - Widget Block
A flexible content block that displays personalised product widgets created in the Liva 7 dashboard.
Ideal for product based widgets like recently viewed items or complementary product carousels. This block will remain empty until you create a widget.
You can add one or more of these blocks to your homepage depending on your goals. For example:
- Place the Product Recs Block near the top to immediately engage new visitors with AI recommendations.
- Add a Bundle Block further down to encourage add ons.
- Use a Smart Content Block to highlight a time sensitive offer or collection.

Enable App Embeds
Liva 7 uses theme-side scripts to power product recommendations, Smart Content and personalised storefront experiences. Shopify requires merchants to explicitly enable these scripts through an App Embed.
Until the embed is turned on, Liva 7 cannot run on your storefront, even if the app is installed.
Step 1: Open your theme editor
In Shopify Admin, go to:
Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
This opens the visual theme editor.
Step 2: Open the App Embeds panel
In the left-hand panel, look at the very top left.
You will see three icons stacked vertically:
- Sections icon
- Theme settings icon
- App Embeds icon (bottom icon)
Click the bottom icon to open the App Embeds panel.
Step 3: Find the Liva 7 embeds
Inside the App Embeds panel, you will see two Liva 7 entries:
- Liva 7 Bundle Modal
- Liva 7 (this is the main embed)
Each has its own toggle.
Step 4: Turn on the main Liva 7 toggle
Switch the toggle next to Liva 7 to the 'on' position.
This enables all core Liva 7 storefront features.
The Liva 7 Bundle Modal toggle is optional and only controls the bundle pop up.
Step 5: Save your theme
Click Save in the top right corner.
Your changes will not apply until you save.
Once saved, Liva 7 will immediately begin running on your storefront.

Set your Preferences (Optional)
This step lets you fine-tune how personalisation behaves across your store. It’s optional - but powerful.
• Excluded Products - Remove specific items from all personalisation surfaces.
• Excluded Collections - Prevent entire collections from appearing in recommendations.
• Fallback Behaviour - Choose what to show when there’s not enough data (e.g., bestsellers).
• Display Locations - Control where personalisation appears (e.g., homepage only, or all pages).
You can skip this step for now and come back later - your personalisation will still work out of the box.
Liva 7 Is active
You’ve completed setup.
• Your storefront is now adapting in real time based on shopper behaviour.
• You’ll start seeing insights and performance data as customers interact with your store.
Completing the 5-step setup unlocks the full power of Liva 7. From here, you can begin customising your personalisation strategy, launching new widgets, and tracking performance in real time.
Click Go to Dashboard to continue optimising.
