Overview
Liva 7 delivers AI‑powered widgets, bundles, recommendations, and dynamic content through content holder blocks that you place inside your Shopify theme. These blocks act as the building blocks of your personalised storefront - they create the dedicated spaces where Liva 7 will later inject real‑time, shopper‑specific content.
Adding these blocks first gives your store a strong foundation. Without them, Liva 7 has nowhere to display personalised content, even if your setup is fully complete. By placing the blocks early, you’re effectively laying out the 'slots' where AI content will appear, ensuring your storefront is ready the moment personalisation activates.
To help you get set up quickly and confidently, Liva 7 includes a prebuilt block to be used on every major page type. You simply add the block to your theme pages, position them where you want AI content to appear, and Liva 7 will automatically populate them once your onboarding is finished. We’ve designed this process to be simple, flexible, and fully in your control - because your store should work the way you want it to.
Think of these blocks as placeholders. Once they’re in place, Liva 7 takes care of the rest.
How to add Liva 7 Blocks
Before you jump into the detailed page‑by‑page instructions, here’s the core process you’ll follow inside the Shopify Theme Editor:
- Go to Online Store → Themes
- Click Edit theme
- Select the page you want to edit (Home, Product, Collection, Cart, Search)
- Click Add section
- Click the Apps tab
- Choose a Liva 7 block
- Position it where you want it to appear and click Save
Once you understand this flow, the rest of the guide simply shows you which blocks are available on each page.
If you don’t see Liva 7 blocks, make sure you’re in the Apps tab - not the default Sections tab.
Homepage

Making it work for you
Once your blocks are added, Liva 7 will begin populating the Product Recs Block automatically using the global strategy you have set for each page. This is the fastest way to get personalised content live, and it works as soon as your setup is complete.
Other blocks, such as Smart Content, widgets and bundles, need content to be created inside the app before they can display anything. This gives you full control over what appears and how it fits your brand. You can reposition, rename or remove blocks at any time, and your theme stays fully flexible and fully in your control.
You do not need to add every block to every page. Add only the blocks that make sense for your store, place them where they feel natural, and shape your storefront in a way that supports your goals.
