Previewing and publishing your first widget
See it before you approve it - and go live with confidence
Overview
Once you’ve created a widget in Liva 7, the next step is to preview how it looks and functions on your storefront. Whether you’re using Theme Block or Auto-Inject placement, Liva 7 gives you full control over how and when your widget goes live.

Previewing your widget
Theme Block Widgets
If you selected Theme Block as your placement method:
• Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
• Navigate to the page type you selected (e.g. Product, Cart, Homepage)
• Click Add section or Add block
• Choose your widget from the Liva 7 app block list
• You’ll see a live preview of the widget in your theme editor
Auto-Inject Widgets
If you selected Auto-Inject:
• Liva 7 will automatically place the widget in the best available spot
• You can preview it by visiting the live page (e.g. your product or cart page)
• Use the Widget Placements tab to adjust priority or visibility
Theme Block widgets are only visible after you add them to your theme using the Shopify editor.
Publishing your widget
Widgets are live as soon as they’re placed on your storefront. To control visibility:
• Use the Widget Placements tab to enable or disable widgets
• Adjust priority to control which widget appears first
• Use Targeting Rules to show or hide widgets based on device, location, or behavior
• Delete or duplicate widgets as needed
Lower priority numbers appear first. Use this to control which widget takes precedence on a page.
Testing before you launch
Before going fully live, we recommend:
• Previewing the widget on desktop and mobile
• Testing with different products or cart states
• Reviewing the recommendation strategy and layout
• Checking for visual alignment with your theme
You can always edit or remove a widget at any time - nothing is permanent.
