Know where data comes from and what happens next

The data lifecycle covers connection, permitted use, storage, derived intelligence, export, retention and deletion. Shopify and Liva 7 may control different parts of that lifecycle, so operational decisions must use the current product settings and formal policies as their source of truth.

Manage the lifecycle deliberately

1. Identify the Shopify sources and permissions required for the intended capability.
2. Use customer and store information only for a defined, lawful purpose.
3. Restrict team access and avoid copying private data into free-text fields.
4. Review exports, connected services and local copies with the same care as the source system.
5. Follow the current retention, deletion and uninstall process for each controlling system.

When a request affects customer data

Use your established privacy process and the current Shopify and Liva 7 policy instructions. Record what system holds the relevant information and do not promise deletion from a system until that system confirms it.
