    Outcome

Prepare a relevant product choice, review the reasoning and connect the approved experience to the right storefront placement.

    Before you begin

The products or message you want to use, plus access to a Shopify theme preview.

    Keep control

Review the experience and its placement before making it visible to shoppers.

    Define the recommendation job

Start with the customer decision you want to make easier. A useful recommendation should fit the page, the available products and the commercial purpose without pretending to know personal intent.

    1. Open Product recommendations.Choose the supported recommendation type or starting route that matches the task.
    2. Name the customer moment.Decide whether the experience should support discovery, comparison, completion or another clear need.
    3. Review eligible products.Check availability, exclusions, product information and any commercial constraint shown in your setup.
    4. Review the reasoning.Make sure the product relationship is understandable and useful for the chosen context.
    5. Choose a safe fallback.Keep the experience useful when the preferred products or evidence are unavailable.
    6. Connect a placement.Preview the recommendation on the intended Shopify surface before publication.

Review before you make it visible

    • The products are available and appropriate for the page.
    • The title and explanation match what a shopper will actually see.
    • The recommendation does not imply a benefit your evidence cannot support.
    • The fallback, mobile layout and product links have been checked.
    • The result will be read with an explicit attribution boundary.

    Finish with a check

    Check the result

The approved experience appears in the intended preview, falls back safely and has not changed another part of your storefront.
