How to view Billing
How to see your current plan and understand how billing works for your personalisation platform.
Overview
The Billing screen shows your current subscription plan and how billing is handled for your personalisation platform. Because all billing is managed by Shopify, this screen is informational only. You can view your plan details here, but any changes to your subscription must be made in your Shopify admin.
The Billing screen allows you to:
- View your current plan
- Confirm your billing status
- Understand how charges are processed
- Navigate to Shopify to manage your subscription
Billing is handled through Shopify. This screen displays your current plan and billing status.
Opening the Billing screen
To view your billing information:
- Open the left navigation
- Click Settings
- Select Billing
You will see your current plan and a link to manage billing in Shopify.
The Billing screen displays subscription details provided by Shopify.
What you can see
The Billing screen displays:
- Your current subscription plan
- Your billing status
- A link to manage billing in Shopify
- Any plan‑related notes or requirements
This information is synced directly from Shopify and cannot be edited inside the personalisation platform.
All billing information is pulled from your Shopify store.
How Billing works
Your personalisation platform uses Shopify’s billing system. This means:
- All charges appear on your Shopify invoice
- Shopify processes your payments
- Shopify manages your billing cycle
- Shopify handles upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations
- Your subscription is tied to your Shopify store
Your app does not store or process payment information.
All subscription charges are handled through Shopify’s billing system.
How to change your plan
To upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan, you must do it in Shopify.
To manage your plan:
- Open your Shopify admin
- Go to Settings
- Select Billing
- Open your App Subscriptions
- Select the personalisation app
- Update or cancel your plan
Any changes made in Shopify will automatically update in your personalisation platform.
Plan changes must be made in Shopify, not in the app.
When to update your plan
You may want to update your plan when:
- You need access to additional features
- Your store traffic increases
- You want to reduce costs
- You are preparing for a seasonal spike
- You are testing new personalisation strategies
All updates must be done through Shopify.
Troubleshooting Billing
Your plan is not updating in the app
Possible causes:
- Shopify billing is still processing
- The page needs to be refreshed
- The subscription change is pending
Fix:
Wait a few minutes and refresh the Billing screen.
You cannot update your plan
Possible causes:
- You are not the Shopify store owner
- You do not have permission to manage billing
- Shopify billing is temporarily unavailable
Fix:
Ask the store owner or a staff member with billing permissions to update the plan.
You see unexpected charges
Possible causes:
- A plan upgrade was recently applied
- A trial period ended
- A subscription renewed
Fix:
Check your Shopify invoice for details.
All billing issues must be resolved in Shopify.
